Clive Tasker (52) has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of Standard Bank Africa.

Tasker, who was previously Standard Bank’s Regional Managing Director for Southern and West Africa, takes over from Craig Bond who will be relocating to Beijing in mid 2008.

Standard Bank is represented in 18 countries on the continent. Standard Bank Africa has the biggest banking network on the African continent with more than 1 000 points of representation.

Tasker says: ”This is not about changing the guard, but about continuity, and ensuring that the strategy and action plan that we have all worked on is implemented.”
