Standard Bank celebrates 10 years in Russia

Standard Bank has just celebrated 10 years of business in Russia with a glitzy gala dinner at the Ritz Carlton in Moscow.

Among the guests were clients and business partners of Standard Bank in Russia, and representatives of the Central Bank of Russia.

Honorary guests were The Ambassador of South Africa in Moscow Dr Bheki Langa, Boris Eifman, one of the world?s leading Russian choreographers and Anatoly Karpov, former World Chess Champion.

The evening included a unique performance from several of Russia?s most exciting and upcoming opera talents selected by Larissa Gergieva, Marrinsky Theatre?s Art Director, together with the Bolshoi Theatre Soloists Chamber Orchestra. The performers were introduced by Russian TV presenter Svyatoslav Belza.

Jacko Maree, Chief Executive of Standard Bank Group, addressed the audience saying: ?Standard Bank is committed to Russia and regards it as one of the world?s most important fast developing economies.?

Yury Voicehovsky, President of ZAO Standard Bank, said: ?Standard Bank has exciting plans in Russia and looks forward to servicing its clients at the highest level to achieve further growth in the years ahead.?
