Standard Bank is official sponsor of the Proteas one-day international cricket squad competing in the ICC Cricket World Cup West Indies 2007.
On 17 April the team raced to a nine-wicket victory over England in Barbados to join defending champions Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka in the semi-finals of the Caribbean Cricket World Cup.
The tournament?s semi-finals will be played on Tuesday 24 April in Jamaica and Wednesday 25 April in St Lucia. Should the Proteas advance to the finals, they will play for cricket?s coveted world crown in Barbados on Saturday 28 April.
In current standings, three South African batsmen feature in the tournament?s top ten batting list: Jacques Kallis (No. 1 with 480 runs), Graeme Smith (No. 3 with 441 runs) and AB de Villiers (No. 8 with 357 runs).
Andrew Hall and Charl Langeveldt are among the tournament?s top 10 bowlers, currently ranked at eight and nine respectively.
